When we asked if we could snap this wonderful gentleman’s photo, he obliged without really understanding what we were up to, and replied in a heavy French accent “sure if will help you”...

candid cool has phrased it perfectly...superb photo, and for me it exemplifies the sights, sounds, flavours and inflections that I miss most about by beloved London from all its wonderful inhabitants and places, that trawling around my new home in USA can't come close to.
