Bootylicious...

FendiSkt

As I was leaving for the day and I saw this woman and almost screeched, “where did you get the fierce boots”

Her dress was Fendi and the boots Agent Provocateur, another version of mixing-it-up… She is a student of art history studying at London’s prestigious The Courtauld Institute. All the women I have met from this school dress so chic.

Mr Start & Mr. Guy

Philip Start & Alistair Guy
Philip Start the Shoreditch retailer with London fashion photographer Alistair Guy.

Many years ago Philip gave me my first job in fashion when I was 16. Then he ran a 26 strong chain of London shops, before he founded the much bigger chain Woodhouse.

Philip now runs Start with his wife Brix Smith-Start (the former guitarist of Eighties cult band The Fall, and who is also currently working on a new season of the UK's popular fashion TV series "Gok's Fashion Fix" )

Philip and Guy are both wearing suits from Mr. Start, Philips made-to-measure shop.

Silver Lady, Fred Butler

I love her style because despite everything being vintage,
including the pants. In this outfit she has anticipated some
of the strong colours for Spring 2010.

From the silver so prominent in Chanel’s Spring Haute Couture
collection to the color of her vintage Kimono top which is an
almost perfect match for one of this seasons hot colours,
Pink Champagne (Pantone 12-1107). Used so prominently by
many designers in collections hitting the stores now including:
Andy & Debb, Charlotte Ronson and Erin Fetherston

Fred Butler is an Art Director, props stylist and accessories
designer based in London. She mention that a collection of her
hats sell at Kabiri London and I read somewhere that Fred has done work for: i-D, Super Super, Tank, Dazed & Confused, Vogue and Selfridges.

Stylish Visitor from Hong Kong

ChicHK
We are delighted to announce that we have a new sponsor,
TimeandGems.com an online seller of extraordinary watches for
men and women. Luisa likes their classic ladies Stainless Steel Rolex. While, I would go for either the Classic Submarinar, or their stunning ultra-hard, military grade carbon coated black Rolex which I think looks great.

Rowan: "What a darling!"

white_bear_coat_London_Fashion_Week
Is the comment she left in defence of her friend and fellow
student (of The Courtauld Institute) “Mixing it Up” when
she attracted an unkind comment last Monday…
